A Family Affair
What is SoundWrx? SoundWrx is a not-for-profit organization with 501(c)(3) status providing independence and quality of life for all people with hearing loss. It was started in Tulsa, OK, because, well - that's what we knew best. The goal is to be able to partner with individuals, organizations, and people with hearing loss all over the country. But that didn't seem to be a feasible starting point.
We are Eric & Jacque Scholl - founders of Soundwrx. We certainly don’t profess to know all things about hearing loss, but we try our best. I owned my own speech & hearing clinic and worked as an audiologist for 20+ years and Eric has been a videographer/producer for more years that that! I have been fortunate to have this man by my side for almost 22 years and although he isn’t involved in the daily grind of Soundwrx, I couldn’t do what I do without his help, love, and constant dedication to me and the cause. Although he’s the quiet one behind the curtain, he’s the main attraction in our families world.
SoundWrx is primarily staffed with people who have or know/love someone with hearing loss. It combines jobs for a population of workers who struggle to find and keep work while helping provide technology to those in need and audiological care to those without access. The people who will benefit from SoundWrx are those between the ages of 18-63 years. Programs for this group are difficult to find and the majority of resources help either the very young or old.
We have to sell a whole lot of things in order to help a whole lot of people so please consider your gift-giving needs from us. All profits go back into the company to provide work and/or technology for others. There are many ways you can help SoundWrx. In addition to donations, we offer beautiful one-of-a-kind gifting solutions that support jobs, as well as technology to those who need it. We also have a wish list of commonly used items on Amazon that helps the organization with day-to-day operations. We're always open to other suggestions and ways to partner with others. SoundWrx was created to lift others up and support all people with hearing loss. Negative comments about others on any platform SoundWrx supports will be removed. There are many other forums where you can state these type of comments, but SoundWrx is not one of them.
